           EVALUATION PROCESS

An evaluation is conducted with the full participation of all parties.  A typical evaluation includes:

  • Two interviews with each parent

  • Parent-child observations, and/or interviews with children (depending upon age)

  • Contact with collateral sources, including personal (family and friends) and professional (therapists, teachers, etc.) contacts

  • Review of records

  • In certain circumstances, parents may be expected to obtain specialized assessments (i.e. drug & alcohol or psychological assessment).

Following the gathering of all the information, I will complete a written report which will conclude with recommendations about all aspects of the parenting schedule, including recommendations for any services, if they appear to be appropriate and necessary. I will also provide the option of a post-report joint meeting with both attorneys.  If there are Pro Se parties, they will have the opportunity to submit written questions regarding any issues needing clarification.
